Pinus strobus ‘Louie’ – one of the few yellow variations of eastern white pine;
- loose, wide-conical habit,
- fast growth – reaches 4 m and 2 m width in 10 years,
- soft, long and yellow needles,
- requires permeable, moderate, garden soils,
- grows well in sunlit and partly positions,
- suitable for colourful arrangements and for some home gardens as well as a solitaire tree.
‘Louie’ can be trimmed in order to achieve higher density.
