Pinus strobus ‘Himmelblau’

Pinus strobus ‘Himmelblau’ (syn. ‘White Mountain’) – eastern white pine variation of characteristic colour;

  • Loose, wide-conical habit, 
  • fast growth rate – reaches 4 m after 10 years, 
  • blue needles, silvery bottom, 
  • grows well in permeable and slightly acidic soils,
  • for sunlit, semi-shaded positions,
  • suitable for colourful arrangements, home gardens or group planting, 
  • ‘Himmelblau’ can be trimmed in order to achieve higher density. 

Needle colour creates the shiny impression on sunny days.
