Pinus strobus ‘Himmelblau’ (syn. ‘White Mountain’) – eastern white pine variation of characteristic colour;
- Loose, wide-conical habit,
- fast growth rate – reaches 4 m after 10 years,
- blue needles, silvery bottom,
- grows well in permeable and slightly acidic soils,
- for sunlit, semi-shaded positions,
- suitable for colourful arrangements, home gardens or group planting,
- ‘Himmelblau’ can be trimmed in order to achieve higher density.
Needle colour creates the shiny impression on sunny days.
