Picea pungens ‘The Blues’ – fast-growing, frost-resistant variation of Colorado spruce;
- weeping habit – (requires pegs in order to obtain a handler),
- after 10 years reaches 2 m height and 0,5 m width,
- blue needles,
- does not have soil requirements,
- grows well in sunlit and semi-shaded positions,
- picked for home gardens, group planting in color arrangements and as a solitaire tree.
Variation was selected in the USA in 1982. Awarded a gold medal at ‘Zieleń to Życie’ fairs in 2012.
