Pinus uncinata ‘Ježek’

Pinus uncinata ‘Ježek’ – Czech variation of mountain pine;

  • very thick, compact and spherical habit. 
  • slow growth – reaches 30 cm after 10 years, 
  • short, firm and green needles, 
  • characterised by a slow growth and thickness of shoots and needles, 
  • grows well in moderate garden soils, 
  • should be planted in sunlit positions, 
  • for home gardens, rockeries, containers and for balconies.

Presents exceptionally well grafted onto the trunk. Found as witches’ broom by M. Kostelnicka.
