Pinus uncinata ‘Ježek’ – Czech variation of mountain pine;
- very thick, compact and spherical habit.
- slow growth – reaches 30 cm after 10 years,
- short, firm and green needles,
- characterised by a slow growth and thickness of shoots and needles,
- grows well in moderate garden soils,
- should be planted in sunlit positions,
- for home gardens, rockeries, containers and for balconies.
Presents exceptionally well grafted onto the trunk. Found as witches’ broom by M. Kostelnicka.
