Pinus parviflora ‘Nellie D.’

 Pinus parviflora ‘Nellie D.’ (syn. ‘M Par. 6’) – variation of Japanese white pine of a compact and irregular shape; 

  • slow growth variation. Yearly growth of about 7 cm,
  • soft, blue needles, 
  • requires permeable, humous and slightly acidic soils, 
  • grows well in sunlit and partly positions,
  • planted in oriental and home gardens as well as in containers.

Variation was selected by Dennis Dodge. Named after Denis’s mother.
