Pinus nigra ‘Hornibrookiana’ – dwarf variation of black pine;
- compact, hemispherical habit,
- slow growth rate – reaches 1,5 m after 10 years,
- dark-green needles,
- variation grows well in moderate soils,
- good for sunlit and partly shaded positions,
- often used for urban planting, parks, a rockery or home gardens and as a solitaire tree.
Variation found as a witches’ broom in the USA.
