Pinus densiflora ‘Tanyosho Compacta’ (syn.‘Umbraculifera Nana’) – unique variation of Japanese red pine;

  • thick, hemispherical habit,
  • dwarf variation – reaches 80 cm height and 100 width after 10 years,
  • soft, light-green needles,
  • soil requirements – average, permeable garden soil. Grows well in sunlit and partially shaded positions,
  • good for home and oriental gardens and for group planting.

 One of the best selections of Japanese red pine is a very thick habit.
