Picea orientalis ‘Skylands’ (syn. ‘Aurea Compacta’) – conical variation of Oriental spruce of yellow colour;
- reaches 2 metres in 10 years,
- short, yellow needles,
- grows well in moderate garden soils,
- requires partly shaded positions. Vulnerable to burning during dry and hot summer,
- recommended for home gardens, as a solitary tree and for group colour planting.
