Picea engelmannii ‘Snake’ (syn. ‘Virgata’, ‘Glauca Virgata’) – unique variation of Engelmann’s spruce of an exceptional look;
- irregular, loose habit (transparent),
- reaches 2 m height and 1,5 width in 10 years,
- silvery needles,
- characteristic feature are long snakelike shoots,
- grows well in moderate soils in sunlit and partly shaded positions,
- especially recommended as a solitaire tree and for home gardens and parks.
