Picea engelmannii ‘Snake’

Picea engelmannii ‘Snake’ (syn. ‘Virgata’, ‘Glauca Virgata’) – unique variation of Engelmann’s spruce of an exceptional look;

  • irregular, loose habit (transparent),
  • reaches 2 m height and 1,5 width in 10 years,
  • silvery needles, 
  • characteristic feature are long snakelike shoots, 
  • grows well in moderate soils in sunlit and partly shaded positions, 
  • especially recommended as a solitaire tree and for home gardens and parks. 

One of the most unique (snakelike) spruces.
