Picea abies ‘Rydal’ – unique variation of Norway spruce with red tree-increments;
- conical habit,
- grows up to one meter in 10 years,
- green needles,
- characteristic feature is a spring, red tree-increment that lasts up to three weeks,
- tolerant plant – recommended for sunlit and s partly shaded positions,
- often planted in home gardens, colorful arrangements, groups and parks.
Picea abies ‘Rydal’ differs from Picea abies ‘Cruenta’ by growth rate. ‘Rydal’ grows much slower and red tree-increment sustains longer with ‘Rydal’.
